Dr Jon Goldin was a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children for 21 years. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and enjoys working with children, teenagers and their parents. He has a longstanding interest in teaching and training. He speaks in schools and teaches doctors in training, successfully encouraging them to choose Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as a career.
He was an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Child Health for some 20 years and was the College Lead for Parliamentary Engagement at The Royal College of Psychiatrists for 8 years. He is now an RCPsych Lead Spokesperson for media and political engagement and has spoken on panels at Party Conferences and at the APPG on Mental Health. He has also been widely interviewed on TV and Radio, lobbying for improved Child Mental Health services nationally. Dr Goldin was awarded the prestigious RCPsych Psychiatric Communicator of the Year award in 2022.
